I’ve been having way too much fun trying creative drinks at my favorite Starbucks lately, and the Starbucks Secret Menu is basically a playground for custom flavors. From dessert-inspired Frappuccinos to fruity Refreshers and cozy latte upgrades, these custom orders are perfect when you want to try something new and fun. Not every drink is available at every location or season, but your barista can often suggest great substitutes.

Starbucks Secret Menu – Fun Custom Drinks I’m Trying This Year ☕✨
My favorite custom Starbucks drinks — dessert-inspired, colorful, and totally treat-worthy.
Does Starbucks Have a Secret Menu?
Yes — and no. The Starbucks Secret Menu isn’t one printed menu board, but instead a collection of custom drink combinations created by customers and shared online. I like to think of it as a “build your own flavor adventure.” You start with a base drink and customize with syrups, toppings, cold foams, sauces, and mix-ins.
Some locations can make these exactly, some may need to substitute, and some seasonal ingredients come and go. I always ask nicely and let my barista suggest swaps if needed.
How I Order Secret Menu Drinks
- I never order by the secret menu name — I give the recipe
- I keep it simple and friendly at the speaker or counter
- I expect substitutions if ingredients are seasonal
- In the app, I customize the base drink step-by-step
Fun Secret Menu Frappuccinos I’ve Tried
Barbie Frappuccino
- Say: “Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino, add three pumps vanilla, add strawberry or raspberry purée, add dragonfruit inclusions, top with whipped cream.”
- In App: Start with Vanilla Bean Frappuccino → add vanilla syrup → add purée → add inclusions → whipped cream.
Butterbeer Frappuccino
- Say: “Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino with three pumps caramel, three pumps toffee nut, caramel drizzle.”
- In App: Vanilla Bean Frappuccino → add caramel + toffee nut → caramel drizzle.
Dole Whip Style Frappuccino
- Say: “Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino, no milk, part sweet cream, part pineapple refresher.”
- In App: Vanilla Bean → change milk → add sweet cream + pineapple base if available.
Thin Mint Frappuccino
- Say: “Chocolate Chip Crème Frappuccino, add mocha, two pumps peppermint, whipped cream.”
Nutella Frappuccino
- Say: “Mocha Frappuccino, two pumps mocha, one pump hazelnut, mocha drizzle, whipped cream.”
Secret Menu Refreshers I Love
Lavender Haze Drink
- Say: “Iced Passion Tea with soy milk and five to six pumps vanilla.”
Strawberries & Cream Refresher
- Say: “Strawberry Açaí Refresher, no water, add strawberry purée and sweet cream.”
Honey Peach Freeze
- Say: “Blended lemonade with peach juice, splash of guava or agave, vanilla sweet cream foam, honey topping.”
Secret Menu Coffee & Latte Favorites
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte
- Say: “Iced white chocolate mocha, add cinnamon dolce syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon topping, raw sugar.”
Snickerdoodle Latte
- Say: “Blonde vanilla latte, add white mocha, cinnamon dolce, cinnamon steamed in milk, whipped cream.”
Nutella Hot Chocolate
- Say: “Hot cocoa with hazelnut syrup, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle.”
Official App Secret Menu Feature
Starbucks has also experimented with an official in-app secret menu area where Rewards members can browse and order featured custom drinks directly. If you see secret menu drinks in the app offers tab, you can order them exactly as listed — which makes things even easier.
Good to Know Before Ordering
- Not all ingredients are available year-round
- Some locations may not carry every syrup or topping
- Always order by ingredients, not the secret name
- Ask your barista for substitution ideas
- These are treat drinks — many are very sweet
